At least 5 high school athletes from Maine will be in Virginia this weekend for a meet. Mia-Claire Kezal of TA and Jayden Flaker and Zack Barry of Scarborough will make the 2nd trip and Delaney Hesler and Emmaline Pendleton of Bonny Eagle will be there as well. Kezal wil run the 800 on Friday all 3 girls will run the 2 mile on Saturday. Flaker wll run the hurdles and 200 while Barry will run the mile.

Mia-Claire Kezal of Thornton Academy ran 2:20.61 to finish 2nd overall in the East Coast Invitational in Virginia Beach. Alexandra Brent of ZYork ran 2:22.18 to finish 8th.

Some excellent two miles this morning from the East Coast Invitational Delaney Hesler (11:08.13)8th, Mia-Claire Kezal (11:26.95)15th, Emmaline Pendleton (11:39.20) 21st
Besides Kezal`s and Brent`s 800s yesterday, Emmaline Pendleton of BE ran 5:19.85 in the mile and Zachary Berry of Scarborough ran 4:24.49. Jayden Flaker of Scarborugh ran 22.94 in the 200 and 8.38 in the 60 meter hurdles. His hurdles time qualified him for this evenings final.
Top Maine high school results from this past weekend`s Addidas national championships include Delaney Hessler of Bonny Eagle running 10:59.95 to finish 18th in the championship 2 mile. Zachary Barry of Scarborough ran 1:55.24 to finish 15th in the championship 800. Mia-Claire Kezal of Thornton Academy ran 2:17.19 to finish 11th in the championhsip 800. Emerson Flaker ran 26.69 to finish 8th in the rising stars 200.
