All high schoolers in Maine should strive both athletically and especially academically to set themselves up to attend a NESCAC school, especially one of the Maine schools. Fantastic education, great athletic competition and a guaranteed job upon graduation. For those of you that are going to bring up the cost of tuition, these schools have large endowments. My son attended a NESCAC school, played four years on a varsity team (football) graduated with $14,000 of loans, and now 5 years out makes $180,000 per year.

And I have a niece who graduated from one of the Maine NESCAC schools with a worthless Liberal Arts degree and 70k in debt....ended up going back to school to become a teacher.   To each his / her own.
