A couple of add-on pieces of information to Jeff's updates on page 1: 2020 JUCO possible recruit Petra Farkas from Hungary via College of Southern Idaho. Leads the team in scoring.Stats: ... arkas/1641Game tape (#12 in white): Esther LittleBit of a pie-in-the-sky recruit at this point since she reclassified down. Seems like she's chumming in deeper waters so to speak.2021 official offeree Seraphina "Sera" Hodgson via New Hampton Prep and the NE Crusaders AAU program (same as Laurence and recent offeree Isabella King). Jeff mentioned it in his post today but hasn't updated the front page to list her as having been offered.Listed as a 5'11 G/WInfo from NEGR: ... na-hodgsonNew Hampton Prep page: page (no season long highlight video as I far as I can tell): tape (#2 in white, long pony tail): assessment, since she's been offered: good athlete. fast, light on her feet. serviceable handle. offensive system is REALLY bad, like it's honestly hard to watch it's so discombobulated, so it's hard to tell whether or not she's doing what's being asked or not, but I didn't see a signature skill on that end other than whipping passes around. really physical and aggressive on ball defender and an instinctive help defender. fast in the open court/transition. seems to read her mark well in on-ball isolation type situations.

One thing that is apparent with recent offers is that Vachon is trying to upgrade height and overall athleticism. I don't think that Vachon cares if her PG is 5-2 or 5-10.....but the rest of the team needs to get taller (and more athletic). I really like the last 2 offers.....lanky athletic players with skills from New England Crusaders AAU. :) This season has been great due to great coaching and extraordinary efforts by individual players & great team chemistry. That might not happen every season though.....they also need talent and height and skill.....especially in OOC games. And I don't see Vachon pulling a Stony Brook and downgrading Maine's schedule to Sisters-of-the-Poor.

of note:Sera Hodgson's older sister (I'm pretty sure) is a really solid player for William and Mary, and was actually named CAA ROY last year...

A blue blood athletic family.....Mom, Dad & 2 brothers all played college ball as well. Not that it's transferrable but a look at sister Eva's stats (she's a 5-9 guard) for this season.....FG% - .544  3 Pt FG% - .431 (56-130) FT% - .913 (104-128) Reb - 3.8Assists - 3.7She is averaging 20.7 PPG to lead her team and the CAA.

The future of women's college basketball is recruiting women who used to be men. Maine needs to focus on that and stop wasting scholarships on European also rans.

this deserves an instaban for not only being insanely transphobic but also for being wrong.Maine has won two straight conference championships and been in the mix for 6 straight years by recruiting european also rans like Blanca Millan, Fanny Wadling, Sophie Weckstrom, Anna Heise, Chantel Charles, Dor Saar (Israel plays in the Euros for basketball), etc.

In no way is my post transphobic. You might be content competing with the rest of the America Least but I have greater aspirations for the program and the sooner they get a start on the inevitable future the better.
