Ryan Flaherty

Ryan Flaherty was the best baseball player I have ever seen in Maine. Decent size, strength and very refined skills. I followed him in college and he helped Vanderbilt build into the program it is today. He even was promising in his early career with Baltimore...than he just wasn't good.
Seriously...what happened? Any thoughts?
To start the year with the Braves Flaherty is batting .474 (9-19) with 3 doubles, 2 RBI, and 5 runs scored. He has started all 5 games, and has gotten a hit in those 5 games.Seriously... what happened?

Nothing happened to him he is one of the best players in the world. I like this article explaining how tough of a job he has.

What a great article about Ryan Flaherty. Certainly puts baseball and players in perspective as to just how hard it is to succeed at the major league level.

What? Ryan Flaherty is a tremendous baseball player, one of the best to come out of Maine, although I think Billy Swift is the best I saw. Can you tell me any current player from the state of Maine playing now who is better? Ryan is a pro and I don't know how you can improve upon that. Great family also!

Brave new world for Portland native Ryan Flaherty in Atlanta...The conversation was casual, as usual. It always is with Ryan Flaherty.“Doing good,” he said on the phone last week. “Just getting ready to go out to the field.”He talks as if he’s headed for a pick-up game. The “field” is 41,000-seat SunTrust Park in Atlanta, where Flaherty is sizzling as one of the top hitters in the National League in his new role as a third baseman for the Braves.Entering Saturday’s game, Flaherty was leading the league with a .362 averagehttp://www.sunjournal.com/brave-new-wor ... n-atlanta/

Nick Markakis and Ryan Flaherty are loving life as brothers-in-law and teammates in Atlanta. When they're not playing ball, they're providing veteran leadership and non-stop entertainment for their fellow #Braves

Ryan Flaherty doesn’t waste any words when talking about playing Triple-A baseball.“No one wants to be at this level, it’s the worst level in baseball,” said Flaherty, the Portland native and seven-year major league veteran. “No one is happy. You’ve either played in the majors and think you should be there or you’re a young kid who’s a step away.”And then, without hesitation, he added, “But I’ve enjoyed it and I’ve embraced it. It’s fun to watch the whole thing unfold.”https://www.pressherald.com/2019/07/03/ ... r-leagues/
