Emotional 3rd for Noble something to cheer about NORTH BERWICK, Maine — Under normal circumstances, coach Shannon Davis would have waited until the Noble High School cheerleaders were on the bus before telling them their team score and place. But not his time. Too much emotion. Too much on the line. Too much to contain. “When Shannon came back with our score all smiles and she was trying to hide it,” said senior Jaysie DeWolf. “We found out we blew up 10 more points than at the regional. Then Allyson (Aubin) said ‘We got third.’ We went behind the curtain and were freaking out. We were hugging ourselves and crying.” Noble enjoyed its best finish ever at the Maine Class A championship Saturday in Augusta. They placed third with 150.9 points behind champion Lewiston (160.2) and runner-up Biddeford (152.1).
