WINDHAM – Goalie Kate Kneeland kept her cool at just the right time to help top-seeded Windham turn back a stiff challenge from No. 9 Cheverus in a Western Class A girls' soccer quarterfinal Tuesday night.
Kneeland stopped three of five penalty kicks as the unbeaten Eagles escaped with a 2-1 win.
The game, tied 1-1 following 90 minutes of regulation and 30 minutes of overtime, was decided by penalty kicks.
