Rookie senior paces Hawks past Noble

NORTH BERWICK, Maine — Janay Wright knows a thing or two about variety being the spice of life.
At least during the fall athletic season.
The Marshwood High School senior had a goal and an assist Thursday to help lift the undefeated Hawks' field hockey team past rival Noble, 4-0, in Western Maine Class A action.
Wright picked up the sport just last month, at the behest of several teammates and friends. An all-star lacrosse player, Wright spent the previous three fall seasons as, in order, a nonathlete, soccer player and cheerleader.
