BRUNSWICK - Lawrence High scored 21 points in the third quarter Saturday night on the way to a 34-7 victory against Brunswick in an Eastern Class A football game.
Lawrence (8-0) clinched home field throughout the playoffs.
"We definitely felt like we had something to prove," said Spencer Carey, who ran for the Bulldogs' first touchdown and had an interception. "Brunswick is a great team."
The Dragons (6-2) appeared to have momentum heading into the second half.
Jared Jensen ran 65 yards for a touchdown with four seconds left in the second quarter to cut Lawrence's lead to 13-7, but Lawrence forced the Dragons three and out on the first possession of the third quarter.
