Gats lifts Spruce Mountain by Winthrop

JAY — Erin Gats couldn't tell you where the goalie was.
The Spruce Mountain senior forward rushed to the net in anticipation of a crossing pass. She paid little attention to anything else around her. She was focused on only one thing at that crucial moment.
"What was going through my head was 'Oh it's up in the air. I hope I'm able to get it because if I don't I'm going to be so angry.'" said Gats. "I feel like keeping my eye on the ball really helped and hoping it would go in."
