AUBURN — One of Lawrence High School's fans hollered over the ropes and the bench at Josh Doolan, wondering aloud why he was carrying his pads as the halftime clock expired.
"Coach told me I'm done," Doolan said. "Too overheated, I guess."
Maybe John Hersom just figured the senior already had put in a full day's work.
Doolan ran for two touchdowns, returned an interception for another six and set up scoring drives with two long punt returns, all in the first half of a 39-16 Eastern Class A rout of Edward Little at Walton Field.
