CAPE ELIZABETH—At the start of the second half of Friday evening's football game at Hannaford Field, the host Cape Elizabeth Capers appeared to be putting all the pieces in place.
Coming off successive wins, the Capers had scored a touchdown just before halftime to take a 7-0 lead over visiting Westbrook. Cape Elizabeth got the ball to start the half and had an opportunity to seize control of the game.
