Boston Globe: Hockey Prep All-Stars

ISL

senior / hockey

Jason Bourgea, St. Paul's

The Dartmouth-bound co-captain made the All ISL and All New England teams after racking up 26 goals and 39 assists across 28 games this season. He finished with 108 career points at St. Paul’s. The honors student also plays baseball in the spring.
junior / hockey

Jeffrey Ryan, St. George's

As league MVP, Ryan led the ISL — and St. George’s and Division 2 hockey — with 25 goals and 30 assists for 50 points. It was his second season as captain and team MVP, roles he used to lead the team to an 11-1 ISL record and league title.

Corey Stearns, Nobles

In 24 games, Stearns posted 20 goals and 21 assists for 41 points, leading her team to ISL and New England championship titles. She is a member of the 2008 Under-18 National Team, which took gold at the world championships in Calgary, Alberta.

EIL

senior / hockey

Stacey MacKinnon, Berwick

She led Berwick in points for the past two years, posting 22 goals and 10 assists for 25 points this sesason. After making the EIL All-League team in 2007, she was named league MVP this year. She also plays softball and is a member of the Honor Roll.

NEPSAC

senior / hockey

Erin Barley-Maloney, Taft

In 21 games, she racked up 20 goals and 20 assists en route to becoming a Founders League All-Star and NEPSAC girls’ hockey player of the year. In her three years at Taft, she posted 58 goals and 46 assists for 104 total points. She will attend Cornell.

Celia Colman-McGaw, Kingswood-Oxford

The senior captain totaled 37 goals and 14 assists to lead the team with 51 points. She was the Kingswood- Oxford MVP for 2007. She also plays field hockey and lacrosse, and has played club ice hockey with the Polar Bears for the past six years.
