2018 #E75 – Best of the Forwards

The 2018 Elite 75 College Showcase hosted some of the best rising seniors and post-graduates in New England in with over 60 college coaches from the division II and III levels looking on.

While we profiled the best big men in the field yesterday, today we’ll shift our focus to the forwards, an admittedly ambiguous term which encompasses players capable of playing multiple positions and impacting the game both around the rim and on the perimeter.

Top Prospects and Performances

John Kelly, Williston Northampton – The 6-foot-7 shooter is a gym rat and knockdown shooter who stretches the floor and has the type of game that easily translates to the next level. He’s fundamentally sound with a high basketball I.Q. and willingness to play the game the right way. He’s also made strides on the defensive end and proven himself to be a scholarship caliber player.

#E75 - Best of the Wings

The 2018 Elite 75 College Showcase hosted some of the best rising seniors and post-graduates in New England in with over 60 college coaches from the division II and III levels looking on.

After first profiling the bigs and the forwards, we’ll now turn our attention to the wings who stood out on Tuesday night. This was a deep group that included some already well established prospects with scholarship offers on the table and others fighting to make a name for themselves.

Top Prospects and Performances

Tedrick Wilcox, Rocky Hill School - Coming off a strong spring season with his RI Elite team, Wilcox continued to impress coaches and attract more college interest on Tuesday night. The 6-foot-5 wing is an extremely high level athlete with great leaping ability and a quick first step. He shoots the ball with range but also made a number of heady passes to grab coaches’ attention.

2018 #E75 - Best of the Guards

The 2018 Elite 75 College Showcase hosted some of the best rising seniors and post-graduates in New England with over 60 college coaches from the division II and III levels looking on.

Over the course of the last three days we’ve profiled some of the event standouts by position, but we saved the best for last as there was an absolute surplus of guards in attendance. The depth of backcourt talent was absolutely off the charts as literally every player was a legitimate college prospect and more than a few have a chance to compete for a scholarship before it’s all said and done.

Top Prospects and Performances

Tyler Thomas, Williston Northampton – One of the more polished scorers in the field, Thomas made shots off both the catch and the dribble while also throwing down some athletics dunks. He had his total game going though as he created shots for others with good vision. He wrapped up his illustrious high school career at Amity with numerous D2 offers and should only add to his scholarship collection in the coming year.
