As for the "verbal" commitments made by a couple of players.
No knowledge of their abilities from me.
I'll just say this. The verbals were made to the previous coach.
Players almost universally come to a program to play for a coach.
Verbal commitments are non-binding. Nothing is binding until a letter of intent is signed. I believe the next signing period is in April.
Let's hope Maine's "verbals" don't rescind their respective decisions.

umine7: Only verbal commitments to Maine men are Terian Moss, Portland who committed to Coach Barron March 10th and a 6'8" player 200 lbs. from the United Kingdom, Jonathan Kamgum who shows as good or better athletic and basketball skills as any of the Maine's returning BIGS and can play facing the basket, good 3 point shoooter, can penetrate, good passer, can post up and can protect the rim even at 6'8" 200lbs. because of his long arms and reach. and has a long wing span.

Open period for signing Letters of Intent starts April 11th.
