reffanfan,

Philosophy of the MPA on the shot clock???

"Philosophy"????????

Peter Webb doesn't want a shot clock.......that is the MPA's "philosophy"!!!

Webb runs Basketball in the State of Maine like KIm Jong-un rules North Korea!

*you mess with Webb...you end up like Boomer!

Reffan: One possible mpa reason for no shot clock is the following.

The few states that have the shot clock for High School lose the voting rights for each high school in those states when it comes to rule changes for the next year.

What is just one team that is causing all this uproar when most of all the other Maine HS teams wouldn't violate a 20 second shot clock as many would turn it over before it close to a shot clock violation.

Jamie Hilton, P.E. FHS. Lives in the Old Port. Likes the single life. If Hilt wanted a varsity job he would of taken one a long time ago. Ditto with Todd in soccer. Out of curiosity I will see what/why parents are kicking up dust. Last time they went hard after Dave the parents went to School Board to get a policy passed that limited coaches to coach only one varsity sport. Dave had won 3 straight Class B championships in soccer. National Coach of the Year. Showed up and said if passed, he would resign as soccer coach and just coach basketball. Parents turned ashen red, walked out and never came to a vote. We on occasion still laugh about that scene.

reffan: Basketball people should be more concerned of all the Maine high school games in which teams were trying to score in their games this season and some couldn't even get out of the 10's, 20's, 30's or 40's instead of just one game when both teams weren't trying to score and still got into the 20's.

Talk about getting things back end too.
