UNH has tipped off against Maine more times than any other opponent in program history – 179 times dating back to the 1915-16 season – with the Black Bears holding a 107-72 advantage. UNH has a 7-3 edge the past 10 meetings, including last month's loss in Bangor that ended a six-game win streak vs. the Black Bears.

Iba Camara recorded his 16th double-digit rebound effort of the season with 10 at UAlbany to increase his school-record career total to 944. At his current pace, Camara will eclipse 1,000 career rebounds.

Tanner Leissner has 1,835 career points, which ranks second on the UNH all-time leaderboard. He needs 27 points to break the scoring record of 1,861 held by Al McClain (1980-84). Leissner is also second in career minutes (3,835) and will break the record (3,844) with 10 more minutes played.

Jacoby Armstrong is on the verge of becoming the 33rd UNH Wildcat to score 1,000 career points; he needs to add five points to his current total of 995.

UNH is atop the America East leaderboard in six statistics, including defense field goal percentage (42.4%) and rebound margin (+7.3), which ranks 14th in the nation.

The Wildcats recorded their two lowest turnover totals last week with seven vs. Hartford and eight at UAlbany.

Armstrong Scores 1,000th Career Point in 71-56 Win vs. Maine

DURHAM, N.H. – Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas) scored a team-high 21 points, Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) recorded his 10th double-double of the season and Jacoby Armstrong (Dallas, Texas) recorded his 1,000th career point to lead the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team to a 71-56 win against the University of Maine on Thursday night at Lundholm Gym.

Leissner eclipsed 20 points for the 11th time this season. Camara scored 15 points and pulled down 16 rebounds for his third double-double in as many games.

Armstrong, who entered the game with 995 career points, scored six points to become the 33rd UNH Wildcat to reach the 1,000-point milestone.

Evan Horn (Lebanaon, Pa.) netted a career-high 10 points and also pulled down a personal-best six rebounds in his first career start. Elijah Jordan (Orlando, Fla.) had 13 points in 23 minutes off the bench.

Aaron Calixte led Maine with a team-high 16 points. Andrew Fleming contributed 12 points and three blocks.

Leissner Becomes Career Scoring Leader in 68-59 Loss to UMBC

DURHAM, N.H. – Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas) scored a team-high 16 points to become the all-time leading scorer at the University of New Hampshire, but the men's basketball team was defeated 68-59 by UMBC at Lundholm Gym on Sunday afternoon.

Leissner entered the game with 1,856 points, five less than the previous benchmark held by Al McClain since 1984. He tied and broke that record when he made two free throws at 5:41 of the first half. Leissner's record is now 1,872 career points.

Leissner is UNH's career record holder in points, minutes (3,908), free throws made (510) and free throws attempted (659).

Iba Camara (Dakar, Senegal) recorded a double-double for the fourth consecutive game with 11 points and game-high 10 rebounds; he also had a team-high four assists. Josh Hopkins (Greensboro, N.C.) and Jordan Reed (Lucas, Texas) scored in double digits with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

UMBC was led by Jairus Lyles (18 points), Jourdan Grant (14) and K.J. Maura (eight assists). Daniel Akin chipped in nine points and team-high eight rebounds.

New Hampshire is now 10-16 overall and 6-6 in America East. UMBC, which had lost six straight at Lundholm Gym, improved to 18-9, 9-3.
