DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team snapped a three game losing streak this past Saturday, taking down the first-place Albany Great Danes. Next, they will host the Vermont Catamounts on Monday, Feb. 5 at 7 P.M. on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

STORYLINES
UNH is 6-4 in America East and 15-8 overall after Saturday's 74-68 win over Albany.
The Wildcats are in a three-way tie for third place in the league standings.
UNH celebrates National Girls & Women in Sports Day vs. Vermont.
The Wildcats snapped Albany's eight-game win streak.
Quarterfinals, semifinals of the league tournament are March 3 and 4 in Portland, Maine.
UNH is 8-2 in Lundholm Gymnasium this season.
The Wildcats won their first outright America East regular season championship with a 15-1 league record last year.
Coach Maureen Magarity was named America East Coach of the Year last season.

Simpson, Healy Pace 'Cats in Setback vs. Vermont

DURHAM, N.H. - Senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) scored 16 points and senior guard Aliza Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) added 11, but the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team came up short against Vermont, 58-53, on Monday night in Lundholm Gymnasium.

UNH is now 15-9 overall and 6-5 in America East play. Vermont is 7-16 overall and 4-6 in the league.

Healy scored eight of her team's 12 points in the fourth period to lead a UNH charge. Freshman guard Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) hit a jumper from the top of the key to give the Wildcats a 53-52 lead with 1:57 to play.

Kristina White answered with a 10-footer with 1:10 left and Vermont was back in front. UNH was unable to get a shot off on its next possession and then had a couple of misses down the stretch and Vermont made its foul shots to pull away.

Healy, Pogue Top 'Cats in Loss at Maine

BANGOR, Maine - Senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) scored 15 points and senior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) had 10 to lead the University of New Hampshire in a 77-46 loss to the University of Maine on Thursday night at Cross Insurance Center.

UNH is now 15-10 overall and is even in America East play at 6-6. The Wildcats play at UMBC on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Maine improved to 17-8 overall and 10-2 with its eighth straight win. The Black Bears took over sole possession of first place in the league Wednesday night when Albany lost at Vermont. Albany is 9-3.

Freshman guard Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) scored a season-high eight points and had a season-high five assists for the Wildcats.

Pogue, Healy Lead 'Cats to Win at UMBC

BALTIMORE, Md. - Senior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored 16 points and senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) added 14 to lead the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team to a 51-46 win over UMBC on Sunday afternoon at the UMBC Events Center.

UNH improves to 16-10 overall and 7-6 in America East. The Wildcats play Hartford on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Lundholm Gymnasium in their Education Day game.

The Wildcats and Stony Brook are tied for fourth place in the league at 7-6. Maine and Albany are tied for first at 10-3 and Binghamton is third at 8-4. Hartford is just behind UNH and Stony Brook at 6-6.

The Wildcats led 47-46 with a minute to play and held off the Retrievers down the stretch. Pogue made a pair of foul shots with 14 seconds left and senior guard Brittni Lai (Irvington, N.Y.) followed suit with a pair of free throws with five seconds left to seal the win.

UNH had six turnovers in the game, its second lowest total of the season.
