Lowkey: I don’t know who Maine’s recruiter is for PA, but he does a helluva job.

Defense will be a strength for @BlackBearsFB in 2018. Last season, Maine had the best 3rd down defense in at least 15 yrs. in the league and they have been the most difficult defense in the CAA to complete a pass against over the past 6 seasons, only 50.4% completions. #BlackHole

The 2018 Dome Challenge must be the official start to spring practice? Might be nice to have a little more info ;) It is interesting to note all the players were impact players and included was #12 Drew Belcher. I could have sworn he was a senior but when I checked the roster he was listed as a Redshirt Senior. Not sure I have seen that term for a senior but I guess it would mean he is eligible for another year and believe he can help the team at Fullback or more likely TE.

Scouting report: Jamil Demby, OG, Maine

SCOUTING REPORT

This big, bad bully was a force to be reckoned with at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in January of 2018, dominating one-on-ones and winning in the trenches. He stood out the entire week, shoving several defenders down to the ground with a stiff, one-armed jab. His strength and physicality were on full display, as he held his ground well at the point of attack. He also demonstrated sound footwork, solid technique, size and athleticism. The four-year starter at left tackle received a call to the Senior Bowl after his noteworthy performance (coached by the Denver Broncos staff), where he went on to enjoy another stellar week and he solidify himself as a day three prospect. He racked up numerous accolades and honors during his time at Maine, while evolving into the leader of the entire team. Possesses the skillset to play all three positions along the offensive line. He is expected to become the second Black Bears player drafted in the past three years (Trevor Bates Rd.7 in in 2016 by Colts).
