Dartmouth men edge by UMaine men 73-66 tonight at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor tonight ending their possibility of a 3 game winning streak. Maine falls to 2-8 and Dartmouth move to 3-4. Dartmouth was ranked 347 out of the 351 D-1 teams in the Pomeroy RPI Team rankings to UMaine's 333 in the same rankings. However, the IVY league was ranked 9th in the realtimerpi.com conference RPI rankings to Maine's American East Conference who is ranked 28th out of the 32 D-1 conferences.

T. Johnson with a career high 29 points, Knight with 13 and B. Barry with a dozen paced the Dartmouth team. Calixe and Lowndes each had 13 points to lead Maine in scoring. Er added an additional 8.

Maine should get back on the winning path Sunday as they meet and host NAIA division 2 University of Maine at Machias in a 2:00pm game.Machias has lost to University of main at Presque Isle twice already this season a team Maine beat last week easily by 20 points.

It will probably be 2 out 3 wins...but after this St. Josephs and Central Conn.

I am afraid unfortunately the handwriting really is on the wall now. Its too bad because

I think this particular team was making progress. It is tough on the kids who have to endure

this as well. Give them credit for doing their best. That is all anyone can ask in a situation like

this.
