Jordan Scores Career-High 19 Points in 78-70 Loss to NiagaraDURHAM, N.H. – Tanner Leissner (Converse, Texas) scored 24 points and Elijah Jordan (Orlando, Fla.) netted a career-high 19 points but the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team was defeated by Niagara University, 78-70, in Tuesday night's non-conference matchup at Lundholm Gym.
Leissner scored his season-high 24 points on 9 of 18 shooting from the floor, including 3-for-4 from 3-point range; he also made all three free throw attempts and tallied seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 39 minutes.
Jordan, who came off the bench to surpass his career high in the first half with 15 points, finished with 19 as he matched his personal best of four 3-pointers. He also had a team-high five assists.
Niagara was led by the backcourt duo of Kahlil Dukes (31 points) and Matt Scott (27 points, eight rebounds). Dukes drained 8 of 11 3-pointers.
UNH is now 2-7 overall while Niagara improves to 4-5.

THE DIFFERENCENiagara outscored UNH 13-2 the last four minutes of the game to transform a 68-65 deficit into a 78-70 win. Dukes drilled a 3-pointer to tie the score at 68 and ignite a 9-0 run; the next six points were scored by Scott.
