‘We’ve been doing a lot with less:’ Fort Kent driver wins sixth ARCA race

...Theriault led the first 136 laps before Tom Hessert beat Theriault off pit road to wrest the lead away from him.

Smith maneuvered past Hessert to take over the lead on lap 142 but Theriault eventually cleared Hessert to move into second and he went underneath Smith on lap 196 to take the lead for good on the .555-mile paved oval track.

“There was a little bit of banging, door to door. It was hard, side-by-side racing and I was able to clear him,” said Theriault.

Theriault drives Cross Insurance Ford to ARCA Series victory

...With Bangor’s Cross Insurance serving at the primary sponsor on his Ken Schrader Racing Ford, Fort Kent’s Austin Theriault survived a wild finish in the Crosley Brands 150 to capture his series-leading seventh win in the ARCA Series on Friday night at Kentucky Speedway.

It is the most wins on the ARCA circuit since Parker Kligerman won nine races in 2009.

Theriault withstood challenges first from Sheldon Creed and then Zane Smith on a green-white-checker (two-lap) finish to take the checkered flag and pretty much sew up the points championship.

Austin Theriault Skypes from North Carolina

Fort Kent's Austin Theriault is in Kansas preparing for the final ARCA race of the season tomorrow night. Theriault is all but guaranteed the points Championship. He has a 400 point lead heading into Kansas.Earlier this week I had the opportunity to Skype with Theriault and to get pictures of the Ken Schader Racing shop. He says the team is looking forward to another successful race.

Theriault wins ARCA season championship

KANSAS CITY, Ks (WAGM) - Austin Theriault has locked up the 2017 ARCA series season points championship.

Theriault clinched the title before the race even started, which is a good thing because he crashed into the wall during the final race of the season in Kansas. His season long streak of finishing in the top 10 came to an end, as he finished in 25th. Congrats to Fort Kent native Austin Theriault who is the 2017 ARCA season champion.
