Jesse Matthews accepts scholarship to Kimball Union high school and is reclassified to class of 2019.

He's a very good player. I just don't think he has the talent for Division 1.

There are far better players from this area who played or are playing Divisions 2 and 3, but who knows for sure?

Jesse can play above the rim, has nice handles, a nice shot, coachable, still growing. If he decides to give basketball his 100% commitment, I believe Jesse Matthews could end up playing at a D1 school.

Remember, scholarship can mean partial or full, athletic or academic ....

I don't know the status of Jesse, but support his efforts to reclassify, play better competition and get to where he wants to get to !

Smart move for Matthews. I think he has all the potential to be a high level division II player or maybe even division I if he improves significantly. Good work, bud.
