BUT, Rudy resigned and took the job at Northeastern, Mike LaPlante(who recruited them both) was passed over to be head coach in favor of Coach G, and the two decommitted. One ended up at Auburn with Coach LaPlante was an all SEC performer and the #15 pick in the draft of the Denver Nuggets. The other ended up at Delaware and never really amounted to much.

This also caused John Gordon to transfer to Delaware. While Coach G did well after he took over, I wonder what the future would have been had Coach LaPlante been hired---we keep the 7' twin towers, John Gordon, together wi th Alan Ledbetter and others.

Who knows..............

Rozzie, thanks for filling in the memory blank. Guess I can see why I thought they were brothers. Oh what could have been :(

Best Maine players should be offered early so you don't lose to AE competitors or others .. Why wait until others offer 1st .

I realize the spot available for 2018 players is limited, but there are ways to deal with that. RS, prep, someone leaves, gets RS , etc ..

Terion Moss 2018, Matthew Fleming 2019 ....

Maine wasn't sure about Andrew Fleming, arguably a major key to this team . in my years involved with summer recruiting and Maine players , D1 guys are hesitant to pull the trigger on Maine players , until someone else does .. Too many college coaches can't evaluate and find their guys, so they wait ...

so lets wait for UNH or Hartford or others to offer .... True TMoss is picking up D2 offers ( LIU offered yesterday after his 31 point performance in PA. ) and MFlemming has one as well. D2's are trying to get them while D1's wait.

more on Moss:

... A source indicated early Wednesday Moss received an offer from UMaine, which was followed by a tweet from Moss' AAU program, Blue Wave Basketball.

Shortly after, a high-ranking source within the Maine basketball program indicated to ABC 7 and Fox 22 Moss has not received a formal offer from the program at this time, though UMaine does have heavy interest in the Bulldog. They said the team will be meeting with Moss in the fall, and said he is "likely" to receive an offer of sorts. The staff is said to be "very high" on him.

Shortly after this, the AAU program deleted its tweet claiming he had received the offer.
