Fort Kent native Austin Theriault finishes ninth in ARCA race at Pocono

...On his Twitter feed, Theriault wrote: “Not the result we were hoping for at Pocono. The car is in one piece so we can work on getting better for Michigan.”

Theriault’s next race will be the Corrigan Oil 200 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan, at 6 p.m. Friday.

That is where Theriault made his ARCA debut, and he won the race while racing for Venturini Motorsports in 2014.

It is a two-mile track.

Fort Kent driver registers third ARCA victory

RCA series points leader Austin Theriault of Fort Kent notched his third victory of the season Friday night when held off Zane Smith at the Montgomery Ward 200 at Madison International Speedway in Wisconsin.

Theriault qualified third and was among six drivers who held the lead at one point in the race on the half-mile track.

His crew continually improved the No. 52 Federated Auto Parts Toyota which enabled him to lead the final 35 laps and take the checkered flag.

Theriault had his hands full with Smith and Christian Eckes in the closing laps.

Austin Theriault back in the fast lane
The Fort Kent driver is rekindling his career in the ARCA series.

...Theriault has won three times this season in nine races on the ARCA Racing Series, with his latest win coming Friday night in Wisconsin.

“It’s not common that you can look at the stats and say you’ve won a third of the races. That’s a good stat,” Theriault said.

Another good stat is Theriault’s 175-point lead in the series standings. Theriault is driving the No. 52 Federated Auto Parts car owned by former NASCAR driver Ken Schrader. Theriault was hired in January for the full season, and the team had immediate success, winning the season opener at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 18. Theriault also won June 3 at the smallest track on the circuit, the 3/8-mile Elko (Minnesota) Speedway.

Maine company teaming with Fort Kent driver for ARCA race

E.J. Prescott Inc. of Gardiner, a 61-year-old company that distributes products for the water, wastewater and stormwater industries, will team with Ken Schrader Racing as a sponsor of Fort Kent native Austin Theriault’s race car for Friday night’s Sioux Chief PowerPEX 200 ARCA race at Lucas Oil Raceway in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Theriault currently leads the ARCA points standings by 160 points over Dalton Sargeant of Boca Raton, Florida.

He also tops the series with three wins, eight top-five finishes and 10 top-10s in 10 races.

Sargeant and Theriault finished one-two in the Fans With Benefits 150 at Iowa Speedway on July 8.

...Fourth in ARCA race

Fort Kent driver Austin Theriault was in the hunt for his fourth victory in the ARCA Racing Series on Friday night in the Sioux Chief PowerPEX 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indiana but a late-race caution flag, caused by rain, proved to be detrimental and he wound up finishing fourth.

It is the ninth top-five finish in 11 races for the series points leader.

Theriault’s closest pursuer in the points race, Dalton Sargeant of Boca Raton, Florida, won the race by getting four fresh tires during the caution which enabled him to rocket up through the pack. He passed Theriault and then race leader Michael Self with eight laps to go and pulled away for his second consecutive win.

Fort Kent driver pads points lead in ARCA Racing series

...Theriault now has 3,305 points through 13 of 20 races while Sargeant has 3130.

Theriault, who was driving the No. 52 Ken Schrader Racing Ford, said on the ARCA Racing website that he was satisfied with the showing.

“When we struggle like we did today and overcome it, it teaches us a lot,” said Theriault. “We started the race way too free but, at the same time, the car wasn’t turning well either. You can’t adjust for both so we went the route to where I could at least drive it and it tightened up.

“Good day all things considered,” said Theriault

Theriault earns pole in first race on dirt, winds up finishing second in ARCA race

Even though he didn’t rack up his fourth win in the ARCA Racing series, Fort Kent’s Austin Theriault still had a highly productive day in his first ever dirt race on Sunday at the Illinois State Fairgrounds at the Herr’s Potato Chips 100.

Theriault reflects on wild last lap win

(WAGM) - Austin Theriault has had an incredible season so far in the ARCA series and it just keeps getting better for the Fort Kent native. Yesterday Theriault raced in the Road America 100 in Wisconsin.

On the last lap of the race, leader Austin Cindric got spun out by another car on turn one and then on turn five Dalton Sargeant who is chasing Theriault for the points lead spun out which opened the way for Theriault to win his fourth race of the season. The win also clinched the Bill France 4 Crown championship, which is a combination of results a race at a superspeedway, short track, dirt oval, and a road course. Theriault takes us through what happened on that wild last lap.
