We offer our sincere condolences to Bob Neal ( turkeyman)

Postby Tom Nolette » Sun Jun 04, 2017 5:48 am

Marilyn B. Neal

Bob lost his wife of 51 years yesterday, Saturday morning . I asked Bob if ok that I share this information with you.

from Bob :
" She was 74, and we were married 51 years. Would have been 52 on July 3. I'm kind of an odd duck on the board because I don't know the real identity of 99 percent of the posters. It may be that I am discussing UMaine sports with people I know, even people who live near here. So, sure, put a mention on the UMaine board.

Marilyn's funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Sharon Congregational Church where she was a trustee and the musician and I am a deacon. Any mbr folks are welcome.

Her full name was Marilyn B. Neal, and she grew up in Fairview, Okla., about 80 miles from where Reg Bamford lives. She and I came to Maine, where my mother's family originated, 37 years ago, so she lived half her life in Maine. Still not enough to qualify as a Mainah, though."

I'm always moved by the strength and character of people when times turn tough.

God Bless you and your family Bob !!

Sincerely
Tom

Bob I'm sure I am part of that 99% of people you don't know, but I always enjoy reading your postings here on MBR.
Sorry to read of your wife's passing. Sounds like you two had a very good life together. You are in my thoughts and prayers today.

Bob,

Please accept condolences from my family and I, including Parise, who you have taken time in the past to speak kindly of. You and your wife's example of love and marriage are to be commended and emulated. As a Christian pastor, I am sure I don't need to remind you that she is okay now. Our prayers are with you at this time. God bless!
