COLBY: SEWALL, SPOFFORD TO ATTEND NCAA CAREER IN SPORTS FORUM

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Colby College graduates Duncan Sewall '17 and Robin Spofford '17 will attend the NCAA's Career in Sports Forum from June 1-4 in Indianapolis.

The NCAA is inviting more than 230 student-athletes, NCAA scholarship and grant recipients, all with an interest in working within the sports industry. Sewall and Spofford are just two of three participants from the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

The Career in Sports Forum provides college athletes with a broader scope of the career tracks available within the sports business, with the primary focus on college athletics. Attendees will hear from various keynote speakers and panelists.

Sewall played one year of football and remained with the squad as a team manager. He handled a number of duties, including filming. Sewall also was the color commentator along with play-by-play man Joe Benson for the Colby men's hockey games.

Spofford, who worked for Colby Associate Athletic Director Jessica Cherry this past year, won the Warren J. Finegan Award for significant contributions behind the scenes to the success of Colby athletics. Spofford led the Colby softball team with a .409 batting average and was tied for the team lead in runs (17).
