Softball looks to Sweep UMBC !!

So after taking yesterday's game 4-1, our UMaine Ladies totally dominate today in the first game, nailing a 7-0 WIN with Derrick putting TWO over the fence !!! Flowers goes 6 1/3 giving up a meaningless run in bottom 7th and only 4-hits with 8K; Kennedy closes it out.

Now Looking for the 3-game weekend series Sweep, with game two today getting underway around 1:30pm.

Well so much for a three-game sweep.

UMBC website now indicates the second game for today has been cancelled.

Guess the UMaine Lady Bears will have to settle for a 10-1 AE Conference record at this point.

The frequency in which America East cancels league baseball & softball games is troubling.
