This article came out in 2011 but it pertains to upgrades that are going to take place over the next ten years
to Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Even though the City of Portland owns the facility it would seem USM or UMAINE could get involved.

Well in the article from 2011 they indicated that these upgrades would be done over the next ten years.

I presume the next upgrade is scheduled for 2021 since the last upgrade was 2001, 2011. They do these upgrades
every 10 years apparently according to City Hall in Portland.

Until a serious answer to the following issues is available, this conversation is moot.

1. A conference willing to accept Maine
2. A conference where travel costs and travel time are reasonable
3. Funding for a stadium, other than Fitzpatrick (glorified high school), is identified

Seriously, if we can't address these, this thread is meaningless.

What is your point? Maine has been playing FBS opponents for many years.

But the campus is not.
UMASS is also doing it. Perhaps the reason it is not working so well is they have only been doing this two years.
Given time even UMASS may make headway. Good things take time to develop.
More false narrative

So in lieu of your usual fairly tale drivel, you are now moving on to name calling. Good to know. Forewarned is forearmed..

Why don't you write a guest blog for the BDN? ( you friend Coach Cim can help get you connected). Write a blog with your fairly tale and then attach a poll to said fairy tale. Then you will see that it's not just " a couple of losers" that think you are on some sort of drug, but a majority (large majority likely) of people also think this is utter and complete nonsense. It has no merit.. at all.

thebam:

1/ He did not start the name "callin".

2. I don't have that kind of pull at the BDN.

3. I am indeed a friend of anyone who gets attacked personally, insulted and named called, unless of course they are the ones with a history of such poor behavior.

4. I do indeed get a kick out the negative, insulting name "callin" posters who cry when it happens to them. They can give it out but they don't seem to be able to take it.

5. If the shoes fits then they should wear them.

6. And everyone has right to their opinion, as opinions are like noses everyone has one.

7. Why can't everyone here on MBR just agree to disagree in a positive manner and not attack people because they don't agree with them? It would be a much better site.

But I guess it is just the world we live in today by the great example of how our so called politicians behave towards each other when they disagree.
