PATRIOTS: Gronk works in full pads
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Rob Gronkowski looked "almost Gronk-esque" on Sunday as he practiced in full pads for the first time since having back surgery.

The star tight end for the New England Patriots participated in drills with his teammates during the 15 minutes reporters were allowed to observe the start of practice.

Gronkowski isn't expected to play in the first few games but wasn't placed on the physically unable to perform list, a move that would have required him to miss at least the first six games of the season.

Kelly proving a defensive force, happy to be with the Patriots
Ex-Raider Tommy Kelly had a standout preseason and has paired well with Vince Wilfork at tackle.

PATRIOTS: Tebow not ruled out

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Could the door be open for quarterback Tim Tebow to return to the New England Patriots?

Patriots coach Bill Belichick on Monday declined to rule out bringing back the popular but underperforming quarterback some time this season, noting that it's not uncommon for him to re-sign a player he's already cut...

NFL: After long offseason, it's game time for Patriots
BY HOWARD ULMAN

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- A training camp filled with potential pitfalls went about as smoothly as the New England Patriots could have hoped.

They addressed the Aaron Hernandez situation early, minimized the attention on Tim Tebow and found promising young wide receivers after losing their top two from last season.
