Nos. 90-81: Top 100 NE prep and HS players

...For the next 10 weeks, New England Lacrosse Journal will prepare for prep and high school lacrosse season by counting down the best prep and high school players throughout New England. Every Monday, we’ll count down the 100 best players in Massachusetts. On Wednesdays, we'll be counting down the top 100 players collectively from the other five New England states.

We conferred with coaches and scouts throughout the state for this comprehensive list of the best prep and high school players in the region — from private, to public, to club teams — heading into the 2018 season.

83. Austin Pelletier
Midfield | Senior
High school: Messalonskee (Maine)

Club team: 207 Lacrosse
College commitment: Franklin Pierce
A faceoff specialist and ground ball machine, Pelletier was an impact in 2017. A first team player in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference, he's a three sport athlete, but with a focus on lacrosse.

85. Sloan Berthiaume
Midfield | Senior
High school: Gardiner (Maine)

Mostly a faceoff specialist, Berthiaume was one of the best players in the entire state as a junior. The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference player of the year as a junior, he led Gardiner to an undefeated regular season. Also a hockey player, he brings over a lot of

88. Riley Reed
LSM | Junior
High School: Falmouth (Maine)

Club team: Dirigo and Lax Pros
A terrific long pole when it comes to ground balls, Reed also creates havoc causing turnovers. In his sophomore season he caused 64 turnovers for Falmouth, and his role should only increase as an upperclassman. ... eId1330404
