Fountain of Truth
After watching Washington's Paul Pierce sink a clutch shot to beat the Hawks, many Celtics fans found themselves cheering for The Truth.

I was in my car for the final moments of Saturday's Game 3 between the Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards, but one text message told me everything I was missing.

Paul Pierce stepback elbow jumper

I knew immediately that 37-year-old Pierce had just sunk the Hawks with his trademark late-game move, though my friend had clearly undersold the sequence by failing to note that Pierce banked the shot over three Atlanta defenders while saving the Wizards from blowing a 21-point lead.

Third time's the charm for Colton Iverson?

Colton Iverson is coming home this summer to get hitched. The only question is whether there will be one ceremony or two.

Iverson, the 53rd overall pick in the 2013 draft whose rights are owned by the Boston Celtics, is set to wed his fiancée, Sarah Roering, in Minneapolis in late July, just a short while after he auditions for an NBA engagement at summer league.

"That’ll be an exciting time, going from summer league straight to the wedding," Iverson said with a laugh Monday from Spain, where he's completing his second professional season overseas with Laboral Kuxta of Liga ACB.

Ford: Celtics have options, not assets, to trade up
Could Boston make a run at Willie Cauley-Stein? It may cost more than they have.

How lottery impacts the Celtics

The Boston Celtics didn't have any chance of improving their 2015 draft position during Tuesday's lottery, but they're hoping the pingpong balls aided their future draft stock.

The Celtics stand to collect the 2016 first-round pick of the 2015 lottery-winning Minnesota Timberwolves if next year's pick lands outside the top 12. Boston will cross its fingers that Minnesota, with help from this year's No. 1 overall selection, can compete for a playoff spot this season and deliver that pick -- otherwise it becomes a pair of future second-round picks.
