Celtics onto Eastern Finals

Postby Minutemanalum94 » Sun May 18, 2008 7:17 pm

The Boston Celtics advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals with a 97-92 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Boston Sunday. Paul Pierce had a great game for the C's, scoring 41. but what can you say about the play of Eddie House & P.J. Brown & Despite having a rough series shooting the ball, Ray Allen's 2 clutch FT's. here's to hoping us C's fans don't have to go through another 7 game series.

No way in hell Detroit wins.
Period.
I'm calling a Celtics sweep.

you thought the last series was an offensive struggle, dont be surprised to see many of the games in the high 60's to low 70's.

Let's hope Ray Allen's personal issues that the local sportscasters mentioned, are not an issue inthis series. THe Celts will need the All Star Ray Allen to show up, if they are to advance, not the Ray Allen who just played the last series....The Pistons are well rested, but if you think back to the World Series; what good did all the extra rest do for the Rockies????? I'd like to see the C's be able to win in Detroit

everyone keeps Belly Aching about the Celtics not winning a road game, but they forget to mention one thing the Pistons have done that Boston hasn't....and thats lose a home game. :D

The C's are in the finals because the coach is willing to sit the players who aren't getting it done. How many other coaches would have sit Allen and Cassell, two seasoned veterans and proven winners, for lack of production?
I often questioned Rivers ability over the past few years as well as this year when it seemed like even a monkey could win with this lineup. But what he has done over the last few games gives me hope that another long awaited championship is within grasp.

Well,so much for Shir's sweep, this thing may end in 5. I'll stick with the 6 games though. Supposing however, that I'm wrong(really! it's happened once or twice), and the C's pull out the series...Can they beat LA??(who really should win the West).

Well, guess it won't be 5. I was real curious to see how they would come out when they finally had to get a home win, and perhaps it was an aberration, but the results were impressive.

Where's booger?
