Yikes !!

Wow, that was an embarrassing display of football by the Pats today. People will be picking on Cassel, but the defense looked old, slow and totally beaten up today. We may need a bye week right into next season with more performances like that !

The worst part was Brown scored 4 times on teh same play and they made no effort to adjust to it. He even hit the same hole in the D all 4 times. The loss isnt Cassels fault the D should not have given up 38 points.

Big game for the Patsies tonight...could find themselves two games behind the Bills.

Yep, and I'm not confident either....the QB situation has overshadowed their biggest problem....their defense is nothing special.

Billz, I suspect you're happy Buffalo didn't pursue Favre now !?!?

I'll give you an honest answer....I would have traded JP for Favre straight-up and maybe even a later round draft pick to boot. I would have started Favre over Edwards. Favre is experienced and is willing to take a few chances...with Evans,Parrish,Reed and Hardy,he would have had plenty of playmakers to make those big plays. Edwards is rock solid and takes what is available, which is good, but sometimes(more often than not) the game lacks that big play difference. Edwards has 5 TD passes through 6 games,Favre had 6 in one, with Jets receivers, who are not on Evan's level. I think Favre would have elevated Buffalo to elite status now,and with Edwards we will have to wait another year or two. In a nutshell,I'm not complaining about Edwards and am happy with the team, but if it had been up to me,we would have had Favre for 2 years.

Monday nite's win was a perfect example of parity in the NFL this season. How can anyone predict the Super Bowl matchup this season ?? As for the Pats, it was nice win, but costly....Harrison's injury looks bad and Morris' injury is even more of a mystery. The one thing Pats fans can take out of this season, is the younger players are getting plenty of chances to show their stuff.

Billz, don't fall for Favre's chuck and duck style....6 TDs in one game is awesome except for the fact he has as many ints as tds in the other games....his postseason numbers since Holmgren left GB aren't impressive. The conservative passing game combined with a good running game and strong defense works best once December and January roll around.

I'm not new to football, nor Favre. I don't need to be warned what to or not to,fall for. I still would have taken Favre,he would have improved the running game by stretching the field and the D would still be decent. With Edwards' high percentage short passing, the defense is always just a few steps from the play, thus hindering Lynch's and Jackson's running holes.
