Hartford, CT - Hartford catcher Chris Rabago nailed an RBI single in the 11th inning, giving Hartford a 4-3, walk-off win over the Portland Sea Dogs (6-10) on Monday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park. The Yard Goats (8-9) have won four straight, and Portland dropped their third in a row.

Portland trailed 2-0, but tied the game with sacrifice flies in the fifth inning by Austin Rei and in the ninth by Tate Matheny. In the 10th inning, Portland took a 3-2 lead on a run-scoring single by Jeremy Rivera.

In the bottom of the 10th inning, Cole Sturgeon made his third terrific catch in centerfield, robbing Brendan Rodgers of extra bases. Rodgers ended up with a sac-fly to tie the game at three. In the bottom of the third Sturgeon took away a hit from Rodgers, which ended up being a sacrifice fly for the first run of the series.

Hartford's Logan Cozart, the sixth pitcher of the game, worked the final two innings to earn the win. Trevor Kelley suffered his first loss of the year, allowing one run (unearned) in just 1/3 of an inning.

Rivera finished 2-for-4 with his 5 RBI of the season against Hartford. Josh Tobias added two hits for the Sea Dogs.

Hartford, CT - The Hartford Yard Goats (9-9) hit back-to-back homers with two outs in the eighth inning, and beat the Portland Sea Dogs (6-11), 4-1 on Tuesday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park.

Both homers were controversial and led to the ejection of Portland Manager Darren Fenster. Ryan Metzler's two-run homer did not clear the fence from the video replay, and evidently hit below the yellow line. On the very next pitch, Mylz Jones hit a solo-blast down the left-field line, which the Sea Dogs felt was foul.

Teddy Stankiewicz (1-3) suffered the loss in relief of Travis Lakins (ND). Stankiewicz pitched five innings on three runs, five hits, four walks and five strikeouts.

Lakins dazzled in his season debut, allowing one unearned run over three innings. The righty was activated from the disabled list before the game, allowed four hits, no walks and fanned three.

Portland tied the game in the fifth when their first hit of the game, a Danny Mars single, scored Luke Tendler.

Hartford's Ryan Castellani worked five innings on one hit, six walks, and five strikeouts. Marc Magliaro pitched a scoreless inning for the win, and Marc Pierpont pitched a perfect ninth for his sixth save of the year.

The Sea Dogs have dropped four straight on the road, and Hartford has won all five on their homestand.

The Sea Dogs and Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) play the final game of their three-game series on Wednesday night at 7:05 PM from Dunkin' Donuts Park. Righty Mike Shawaryn (1-1, 2.7) makes his fourth start of the year for Portland. Hartford sends Jesus Tinoco (2-1, 4.91) to the hill. Radio coverage begins at 6:50 PM on the U.S. Cellular Sea Dogs Radio Network and the TuneIn App

Hartford, CT - The Hartford Yard Goats (10-9) scored three runs in the sixth inning, and beat the Portland Sea Dogs (6-12), 3-0 in six innings on Wednesday night at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Hartford scored their runs before the game was put in a rain delay and later called.

Mike Shawaryn (1-2) took the tough-luck loss for Portland. Shawaryn retired the first 12 batters before a single from Sam Hilliard in the fifth inning.

Jesus Tinoco (3-1) gets credited with a complete-game shutout, yielding three hits, one walk and fanning four over six innings.

Shawaryn did not record an out in the sixth. Ryan Metzler led off with a single and advanced to third base on a bunt-single by Omar Carrizales. Wes Rogers knocked in the first run with a single. Garrett Hampson reached on a sacrifice-bunt-error by Shawaryn, plating the second run. The third run scored on a fielding error by 1B Josh Ockimey.

Portland dropped the final five games of the trip, and Hartford went 6-0 on their homestand. The Yard Goats have won five of seven from Portland this year.

The Sea Dogs are off on Thursday and return to action on Friday night against the Reading Fightin Phils (Phillies affiliate), opening up a six-game homestand at Hadlock Field.
