Binghamton rolls past Sea Dogs for twinbill sweep

PORTLAND, Maine — The Binghamton offense combined for 18 runs and 21 hits en route to sweeping the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field on Tuesday night, winning the completion of a suspended game 11-7 and game two 7-1 in seven innings.

The teams resumed Monday’s suspended game tied 2-2 in the second inning and Portland quickly took a 4-2 lead on a two-run single by Oscar Tejeda. But Binghamton would respond quickly, batting around in the top of the third and plating five runs, just two of which were earned thanks to two Portland errors.
