............Looks like we have some sour grapes--Lester accused of doctoring the "pill"

...........Perhaps if the opposing pitcher could catch a pop-up instead of letting the ball hit the ground, things wouldn't have been so bad. Anyway, if the pitcher was "Harry the Cat", the ball would have surely been caught. Maybe in his back pocket.

**"Harry the Cat" Brecheen was the Cardinal pitcher who won 3 games in the '46 series with the Sox. In the 7th game, and before warming up for his relief role, he could not hold a cup of water in his left hand without pain (he was left handed). The "Cat" was known for his fielding prowess (thus his name) and was considered an extra infielder.
