New video boards set for Hadlock Field
Fans will be able to see a variety of information on the big message centers.

When the Portland Sea Dogs installed their first video board at Hadlock Field in 2004, they promoted the opportunity to watch Boston Red Sox highlights while at a Sea Dogs game.

Those highlights faded out the past couple of seasons but are coming back.

Red Sox name new manager for Portland Sea Dogs

PORTLAND, Maine — Former Portland Sea Dogs player Billy McMillon has been named the club’s new manager, the Boston Red Sox announced in a news release Wednesday. SOUTH PORTLAND — So much has been written about Jackie Bradley Jr. being the whole package. Talent, poise, confidence, humility …

And a sense of humor.

So when a wise-guy reporter asked Bradley if he heard that Jacoby Ellsbury left the Boston Red Sox, he deadpanned, “I saw that.”

But Bradley, 23, wasn’t overly focused on Ellsbury’s negotiations during the offseason, which eventually ended with Ellsbury signing with the New York Yankees.
