Sea Dogs' stars fizzle in loss
Three batters go 1 for 5 and Anthony Ranaudo allows three runs in a 5-0 EL All-Star game loss.

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - After a wild Anthony Ranaudo put the East Division into a hole, the West held on for a 5-0 victory in the Eastern League All-Star game at New Britain Stadium Wednesday night.

Ranaudo, one of four Portland Sea Dogs players in the game, gave up three runs in the first inning.

Michael Almanzar started at third base and played the whole game. He went 1 for 2 with a single. He was also hit by a pitch.
