It would seem as though the Sox would agree. Going from 2-10 to first place was even easier than they thought it would be. So they are now apparently going for two great comebacks in the standings during the same season.

Thankfully, the Sox are done with the Yankees until August, so we can now get back on the WC Championship pace.

The Red Sox have had virtually the same record at this time of year in each year since 07 and it hasn't quite worked out in their favor so far... 8-)

08: 43-28 Lost in ALCS
09: 44-27 Lost in ALDS
10: 43-28 No playoffs
11: 43-28 There is still hope...

If ever the phrase "the more things change the more they stay the same" were to be used-heheehhehe. Seems adding 300-400 million to ones payroll doesn't buy what it used to

Not sure there has ever been a wilder Wild Card finale.

Nice that the Rays got away from those division championships and into the coveted Wild Card spot.

Esp nice the sox got to watch their chances slip away twice in 5 minutes. I think next yr they should add a WC spot so the sox can make it or legalize steroids. They struggle without their 3 and 4 hitters juiced. I mean, they haven't even made the playoffs the past 2 yrs geezzzzzz

Maybe ARod should contact Papi's supplier cause ARod's body seems to be breaking down quicker than Ortiz....didn't get in 100 games this year....that's almost JD Drew-like. 8-)

A permanent breakdown or trade would suit me just fine. Papi's supplier seems to be able to keep a secret too

Red Sox 3-0 including one game won by a score of 25 - 0.

WOW.

Yankees - winless.
