Sad to say Mike Haley passed away today. There will never be another one like him, and he will be sorely missed.

I don't believe anyone cared more about football in the State of Maine than Mr. Haley. The passion he had for our sport was second to none. His leadership and dedication to High School football will be sorely missed.May he rest in peace.

Mike was Asst. Principal and our DB coach in my first few years at Leavitt.
He was a great resource for a young head coach just starting out. I learned a lot!
Mike's contribution to our Football Coach's Association and the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl were key in helping those organizations thrive.
Thanks Coach! and rest easy, we know you will be watching our games this fall

“Mike is single-handedly responsible for teaching thousands of men in this state how to properly shake hands,” said Dan O’Connell, head football coach and athletic administrator at John Bapst Memorial High School of Bangor, who worked with Haley at the Maine Football Coaches Association.
