Sad to hear this. He was a positive role model and will be missed.

Pretty sad if parents forced him out...seems all too common these days. How long was he there? 2 years? His team this year though was pretty woeful. Any guesses on possible successor?

I predicted this and my post was removed a 2 months ago.
He was laughed at by all the coaches that were worth a damn in the league. Being a rah rah guy is great if you are the cheer leading coach. At some point, you gotta know a little bit about football to coach it.

That would be incorrect.... The twins were getting into trouble and not committing to football. The QB left after Cliche left the program. It had absolutely nothing to do with Jackson.

And no, I'm not a fan of Deering and My son is a Bulldog.

Chewbacca... you don’t know what you are talking about. That post is laughable. Check out his community support on social media. The community loved him... It’s a sad state of affairs in youth sports due to parental control. This was a loss to Deering Football. Period. Kids are heartbroken.

Chewbacca ,

We removed your previous post and edited on this thread as you railed on coach.. unless there is public record in print , on tv about some public situation , etc from a reliable source, that kind of talk won't stand on MBR

Try talking about general situation vs dragging into the mud wit your takes, innuendo, rumor, they post will stay. To say he wasn't a knowledgeable coach or some critique we can put up with , to call him or others out isn't acceptable

... Jackson did not return a phone message late Wednesday evening.

A former assistant coach at Cape Elizabeth, Jackson was hired as Deering’s coach in March 2015. In three seasons, Jackson’s teams went 11-19, including a 1-2 record in the annual Thanksgiving Day game with Portland. Deering won this year’s Thanksgiving game, 22-20, after a 1-8 season.

Chewbacca - get a life. Clearly you have an ax to grind or you just get your jollies by being a keyboard tough guy. Anyone who has been around Coach Jackson knows how positive he has been for the program.
