If I understand the wording correctly in the bulletin, the team with the odd coin will finish 3rd and then the head-to-head result between the 2 remaining teams will determine who is first and who is 2nd.

Wrong. Your TA bias is coming through. Lucky to win tonight. TA can't finish 1. Did you go to TA? Math

Scarborough is and will finish #1

If Port beats SP tomorrow- Then BE is 2nd and TA 3rd

If SP wins. TA is 2nd and BE 3rd

I never thought I would say this, but he is right I thought Cheverus beat Oxford Hills.

This is a load of crap. All of the top 6 teams in A North would rip Massabesic apart. There was ONE miraculous outlier game and that was Deering coming up with some 19 points in the 4th quarter or something at home to beat Lewiston. There was an onside kick in there and a couple of other flukey plays that made the Rams season. To that one game puts Deering and Massabesic at the same level as those teams in A North is a serious reach. I'd take any of those 6 teams in North over Deering and Massabesic.

I would agree that South Portland and Sanford would be straight up with anyone from the North. I would also agree that any of the top 3 in the South would handle anyone in the North. Although, we saw Sanford, who is very similar to the teams in the North (I compared them and Oxford Hills very favorably when they scrimmaged in preseason and have been waiting for them to show it!), play probably their best game of the season and stay within 2 TD's of TA. I could see many of the teams in the North playing their heart out and be within 2-3 TDs....but still lose pretty easily.

One game (Lewiston-Deering) does not make a blanket statement true.

Many local squads advance in postseason-Portland edition

... Football
The final weekend of the football regular season didn’t result in any victories for local squads.

Portland wound up 2-6 after falling at rival South Portland in the “Battle of the Bridge,” 34-17. The Bulldogs fell behind, 13-0, before getting a 30-yard field goal from Quinn Clarke before the half. After the Red Riots went up, 20-3, Portland got a 10-yard scoring pass from Terion Moss to Nico Leavitt. South Portland made it 27-10 after three periods before Moss hooked up with Vinnie Pasquali for an 8-yard TD in the fourth quarter. That’s as close as the Bulldogs would get, as the Red Riots scored again and went on to the victory to improve to 55-44 (with seven ties) in the all-time series.
