Gorham ends losing streak with 35-7 win over Noble
The Rams take control early and earn their first victory since 2014.

...The win ends an 18-game losing streak for Gorham, which lost a one-point heartbreaker last week at Mt. Ararat.

“We came out to practice this week, and we knew a couple plays either way can change a game,” said senior quarterback and captain Jack Niles, who engineered the Rams’ offense flawlessly, including a 1-yard sneak for a touchdown.

“We played every single play tonight. We were focused.”

Adam McKenney, a 5-foot-4 senior, broke free for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.

Gorham: picks up 2nd win vs Medomak

Fog, Rams engulf Panthers after strong early homecoming start
Medomak Valley drops second straight competitive affair after opening victory

..."I thought we came out strong, but missed some opportunities to put Gorham into a hole," said Medomak Valley coach Ryan Snell. "As a young team we can't afford to miss those opportunities, and it's up to us to get better as a group and learn from each game.

"We were very appreciative of our crowd and the tremendous support we received. It's exciting to see the continued support of football in the community, and seeing it as the place to be on a Friday night in Waldoboro."

In an interesting side note, Tim Spear, a Medomak Valley High School graduate, was on the Gorham sideline Friday night in his return to his alma mater. Spear played soccer on the same field years ago before the Panthers offered football. Spear is the Gorham athletic director after he served as an athletic trainer in that school district for about a decade.
