Interesting. The season started for you guys with this game and a different Windham team beat a different Cheverus team 24-0. I'm thinking the favorite is Cheverus (providing #28 and #82 get healthy)!

Looking forward to watching this one.

Windham gets late TD to beat Cheverus
Tanner Bernier's touchdown pass to Hunter Coffin gives the Eagles a 12-6 win and a spot in the Class A North semifinals.

...Windham was having trouble running the ball, so Perkins changed tactics.

“They were giving us things and taking away a lot,” Perkins said. “So, we got to the point and said ‘here’s what we’re doing,’ and we did it.

“Tanner is very, very good. He has a quick release. We had a hard time at the end of the third (quarter) pass protecting. As the fourth went on, it got better and better.”

The Stags, with Bobby Holzhacker, Nathan Dunn and Morrone leading the pass rush, were putting pressure on Bernier.

But Bernier completed 13 of 31 passes for 183 yards

Portland the lone local survivor of football's quarterfinal weekend

...“Terion is learning how to play quarterback,” Portland coach Jim Hartman said. “He’s only played three games in a row now at quarterback, so I have to learn how to communicate with him. We’re drawing plays up in the sand, but he’s coming. Each game he gets a little better.”

Moss ran for a game-high 109 yards on 21 carries.

Pasquali sealed the win with his second interception of the game.

Next up for Portland is a semifinal round showdown at second-ranked Lewiston (4-4) Friday night. The Bulldogs rallied for a thrilling 17-14, overtime win over the visiting Blue Devils back on Oct. 13. The teams have met twice previously in the postseason with Lewiston taking the 1987 Western A semifinals (29-6) and Portland prevailing in the 1995 Western A quarterfinals (42-8).

“I think Lewiston has as much talent as anyone in Class A football, so we’ve got our hands full,” Hartman said.

Portland’s new QB is a fast learner
Basketball star Terion Moss has been key to the Bulldogs' late-season improvement.

...College basketball is definitely in the future for the Bulldogs’ point guard, possibly at the NCAA Division I level.

“I talked to my parents about it. They said it was up to me, but they really thought I should just focus on basketball,” Moss said.

Eventually, his friends convinced him to return to football this fall. At midseason, the 6-foot, 173-pounder took over at quarterback – a position he had never played before.

In his four starts, Moss has rushed for more than 100 yards each game while leading a turnaround for a team that lost its first five games. Last week, he sparked the sixth-seeded Bulldogs (3-6) to a 21-16 victory at No. 3 Oxford Hills/Buckfield in the Class A North quarterfinals.
