I'll put Boothbay at the top-The only team to give class B Oak Hill(Which is the only team to beat Winthrop) a loss..

Winthrop is two for me...Followed by Calais,Madawaska,C.A. and Narraguagus in that order...I have seen Penobscot Valley play and IMO,are not ahead of 'Guagus.

The rest are obviously in the same basket and any one could leapfrog the next at any moment.

You know what really frustrates me with the heal point system is two of he better teams in class c girls set in 7th and 9th place with one lose between them ( Calais 11-0 & Narraguagus 13-1) some times I wish the standings went by wins. At this rate Narraguagus my not even get a home prelim game.

Yeah agree. Also if Downeast basketball continues to be that bad other than Guagus and Calais, I would search for games elsewhere if I were the athletic directors, because it really isn't fair to them.
I think Shead also joined the Aroostook league to get games. They are 5-9 and in 5th place so I'd say that helped them out a bit.

Shead's points have come from beating J-Beals twice,Searsport once and they did beat Aroostook league leauge Fort Fairfield once. Other than that, the Aroostook league teams(Hodgdon,So.Aroostook,F.F.) have handled Shead. They may not want to abandon the DAC just yet.

The heal points reward teams for strength of schedule. Guagus has wins over Sumner bucksport and stevens. Combined those teams only have 6 wins total. They have also have beaten jonesport heals who has 5 wins. Also have beaten WA who just won their first game. Guagus can still climb but many of the victories are against teams not having great years. Geography makes scheduling difficult. I expect the Lady knights will be in Bangor and will be very competitive!

I don't think anyone is doubting they will be in Bangor and they most certainly will be very competitive. The complaint was from someone venting their frustrations due to their record and being so low in the standings....gotta beef up your schedule if you want to be higher in the heals.

Also, I think Shead through geography out the window if they are traveling to Hodgdon, SA, and Fort Fairfield

I can only speak with any real knowledge about C South.
1- Boothbay
2- NYA
3- Winthrop
4-Monmouth
5-Old Orchard Beach
Boothbay, NYA and maybe Winthrop are the only teams from the south that I could see cracking a Top 10 North/South list. I think the rest of the South falls off a cliff. Monmouth is hanging on the edge with OOB if they get hot from outside. After that it’s a lot of struggling teams with limited talent.
