#1) Anyone who does not have Boothbay at #1...(he,he)...needs to actually watch Boothbay play first.
#2) Hall-Dale beat Monmouth (54-51) and recently Oak Hill (#1 Class B south) by 9 points, 47-38. Interestingly enough, Boothbay only beat Oak Hill by 9, 39-30.

So, perhaps now there needs to be an adjustment to your polling list.

Hall Dale starts 3 Frosh and 2 more Frosh come in off the bench. They have some good senior leadership to go with the young talent. I suspect these girls are two years away from making the gold ball run but who knows.

Hey Class C Dad
Is it just me or is the MVC extremely weak this year? I’ve been watching this conference for a long time and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it like this. In past years even when Dirigo was dominating there seemed to always be at least one team that could give them a game if the stars aligned. Maybe it’s just me.

I will keep Calais at 1 thank you!

I highly doubt that Boothbay got a new coach because they lost a state game, two years prior. Just a hunch

There was a topic on here when the previous coach resigned. Appeared to be a medical issue.

I think seeding will hold up for the most part. Fort Fairfield v Penquis is probably a toss up. Fort isn't a super strong team this year. I was going to say Penquis because they've played tougher games this year, but will stick with Fort on home court. Fort also has the coaching experience to get through a tough game.
On paper Stearns looks to have leg up on Houlton. I still have no issue picking Houlton in this one. They are finally close to being healthy. Stearns can still be a scary matchup with guard play, but they fall off after that. Houltons gym should be an advantage also. Usually a great atmosphere there.
In Bangor is where the seeding will fall apart. The teams are way out of order based on the actual strength of the teams. The quarter finals should have a lot of "upsets". 3 of the top 4 teams could easily be gone after first round.

Newmember, yes we are. I agree with you about the upsets imo If Calais and Narraguagus get past these pre-lim games which they should but you never know. It makes me mad that the # 3,4,5 teams have to play in a pre-lim game but thats a an other subject. Now back to the tourney imo Calais will beat #3 madawaska and Narraguagus will do the same too #4 Penobscot Valley. I also believe that #1 CA will be gone before the tourney is over. This should be a fun Class C tourney to watch can't whit the tell Friday gets here. :D
