I thought Kolleen Bouchard was a firecracker now. I didn't see her in any of the pictures. She would have been a huge asset, they wouldn't have lost had she been there.

Really, Green17? That is such a childish response and ill-advised comment. Congratulations to ALL of the FC teams and the players! That is quite an accomplishment and one you should be very proud of. Don't mind the narrow-minded comments made in this forum by grown ass adults. From what I can tell, you have the best players in the state on this squad and you have made a significant mark for Maine girls basketball. I look forward to hearing about the rest of your games and the success you will continue to have without Kolleen Bouchard!

BigTicket, we will get more of these ill advised postings now that weed is legal. Coaches Clement and Briggs and their co-coaches continue to give Maine girls the best possible opportunities to play at the highest level. They build great team chemistry which says a lot of how they evaluate talented players, open door for all regardless of ability to pay and teach the game the right way with outstanding practices to support. Their program continues to attract top coaches due in part to the respect they have for the Fire Cracker programs.

Nice start to another successful summer campaign. Congratulations.

I guess Im not sure what the issue is. I honestly thought I saw somewhere that Kolleen was playing with the firecrackers now.

Dropping a talented player into a cohesive group that's proven a willingness to sacrifice the me for the we does not mean you will have a change in outcomes. If it was that sinple we would have won all our games in the fall. Without team chemistry and a history of competing, sacrificing, and enduring collectively you will not have the same level of success.. Sorry, but its not just about adding any one player.. You are sadly mistaken....

I totally agree with everything HoopHopeful ExpoEddie and Bigticket are saying. (Except the part where I was called childish) but whatever. In my opinion continuity and chemistry are the most important things you need when building a team. Im just trying to figure out if she's a team member and couldn't make the trip for one reason or another or she's just not in the program. Can anyone help me with that? Also I feel like I should mention I have zero affiliation with her whatsoever. Never met her, don't know any of her family, I've only seen her play on tv a few times over the last 3 years.

I do not know the player's ability that was asked if playing for FC. It was to me funny that a player from Maine could go to Raleigh, NC and make them go undefeated. Unless you saw the games themselves, kinda a bold statement I thought.

What was the common theme from all, the Firecrackers has raised the bar for all girls programs and that is good for hoop fans. Now if I can just find my bong from 78 all would be great.

The FC players are outstanding players. Kolleen is an outstanding player. I think if you ask Don Briggs the only thing keeping her off the team is geography. To say she would have made them undefeated is silly. To say she is not a big impact player over the season is silly also. There are many Maine HS players making a name for themselves through AAU basketball. Let's celebrate all of their accomplishments and support them to achieve their dreams.

I missed something. I did not see a post that said she was not an impact player. This post was specific to the FC's. Those who follow hoops know that Blue Wave, Renegades, Robert Pillsbury, Dudley Davis and all kinds of folks up in the Bangor, Central Maine, County and the Coastline are doing great things for any and all who wish to better their games.
