Thanks Coach Liburd for a great spring season!

Your MBR.ORG girls were 13 - 1 when playing within the State of Maine and were the AAU U14 State of Maine Champions. They were 11 - 7 playing out of State against many of the top teams in the Northeast. Congratulations.

The girls all played alot, learned alot, improved alot and had a fanatastic time. Nice job!

Thanks fellow MBR parents. It was a great pleasure meeting you all. I look forward to seing you again this fall and next spring.

and..... Thank you MBR.ORG Girls. You are a wonderful bunch. Your excellent play, determination, positive additudes and enjoyment of the game made the miles and miles and hours and hours all worth while. Good luck to all of you this coming school season.

New York results: Game one vs Triple Threat out of NYC. MBR jumped out to a 27-18 first half lead and hung on to win 39-36 over a very good NY team. Scoring for MBR Allaina Murphy 17, Katelyn DeRaps 8, Chantelle Desjardins and Mary Badeen 4, Lindsey Nolette and Hannah Knight each had 3.
Game 2 vs Hoop Heaven Heat from NJ. This game was back and forth most of the first half until Hoop Heaven went on a run to end the half with a 10 point lead 33-23. In the scond half Hoop Heaven increased the lead to 16 only to have MBR fight back and cut it to 6 with around 9 minutes left. Hoop Heaven increased the lead again to 12 but, MBR fought again to get it back to 4 with a minute left. MBR had to foul and Hoop Heaven went 8-10 down the stretch to notch the win 63-55. Scoring for MBR Allaina Murphy was tough again down low leading the way with 21, Katelyn DeRaps 10, Mary Badeen 9,Megan Pelletier 6, Megan Coale 5, and Chantelle Desjardins finished with 4.
Game 3 Sunday vs New Heights (NYC). MBR came out flat on both sides of the floor and New Heights took full adavantage leading 30-7 at the half. In the second half MBR held New Heights to
11 second half points but could only manage to score 6 themselves with the final score of 41-13. Although MBR came out flat this was possibly the best all around team we faced all season. Scoring for MBR Allaina Murphy 4, Megan Pelletier 3, Katelyn DeRaps, Mary Badeen and Lindsey Nolette each had 2,

Im sure the girls were not happy about the way the AAU season ended for them but , they should be very proud of themselves. You were Maine State Champs and you beat some very quality opponents from many other states. Although we are not attending Nationals this year, we will be getting ready for next year. Great job you were a lot of fun to be around and to watch play. We look forward to following your season with your high school teams and best of luck to all. A huge Thank You to Coach Liburd for everything. You have done an outstanding job!! These young ladies seemed to really enjoy playing for you. You are a Class Act!!! Congrats MBR and we look forward to next year.
