Condolences to the Wiz on the passing of mom

Postby Tom Nolette » Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:00 am

For many on MBR, The WIZ Image holds legendary status and a warm place in our hearts..... When we started the site in 1998, Wiz was dominant with his ranking list, predictions and articles he wrote.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to WIz and family today on the passing of mom...

Jean M. Orcutt, 89
CAPE ELIZABETH - Jean M. Orcutt of Cape Elizabeth, passed away June 29, 2018. She was born March 12, 1929, in Cambridge, Mass., the daughter of Charles and Lillian Siggens. She was married to George (Bill) W. Orcutt, 63 years, who passed away Jan. 11, 2012. They were married in Somerville, Mass., on Feb. 6, 1949.

She is survived by William and Monika Orcutt, Robert Orcutt and fiancée, Rhonda Lefebvre, Susan and Kenny Eklund, Donald and Linda Orcutt, daughter, Beverly Orcutt Schwarz had passed away Nov. 8, 2007. Mom had 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Wait a minute. This is our Mom, let us tell you about our Mom. So, let's take notice: First, she was a great mom of five children. She took care of us, trained us and made us into what we are today. Can you imagine what it would be like to have five kids within seven years of marriage, and then helped raise a grandchild for 10 more years when her children have grown. Yes, we kept checking in on her occasionally for her sanity, yup, she was all there each time.

Mom was happiest being at home spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing beano on Saturday nights, playing the piano, and the organ and making puzzles. Sewing, knitting, making sweaters, winter clothes all for us kids growing up. Her favorite past time was going out to sea fishing with Dad and Don on the "BB Sue". She did have various parttime jobs through the years. But she enjoyed mostly working at Capt'n Newick's Restaurant in South Portland at the time. Really enjoying the people, she had worked with there. Mom for years worked with Cape Elizabeth Boosters and South Portland Booster helping support their ball teams. She was a true New England sports fan loving the Red Sox, Celtics and the Patriots.

At Moms request there will be no services, nor celebration of life. Mom's ashes will be joining Dad and Sister Beverly sometime later this summer. For those of you who knew Mom, look up and smile because she loved all of you!

Our Thanks to the People at The Gosnell House in Scarborough, A wonderful staff, so kind and caring. ... =189493101

The LORD be with Wiz and his family in their time of need.

My thoughts go out to Wiz and his family and my heart felt prayers go with them.

Ephesians 2:8: "For by grace are we saved through FAITH and not of ourselves, it is the Gift of GOD".
