The Matchup
UNH has a 7-11 lifetime record against Stony Brook and the Seawolves have won nine straight matchups, including America East semifinals in 2014, 2016 and 2017.
In last year's regular-season game at Wildcat Stadium, SBU built a 10-0 lead at 2:45 of the first half and led 10-1 at halftime en route to a 14-2 victory. The Seawolves led in shots (28-8), draw controls (12-6), ground balls (19-11) and turnovers (14-21). • Recap • Box

Sennott Records Four Points but No. 1 Stony Brook Prevails, 20-6

STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Rebecca Sennott (Westford, Mass.) matched her career high of four points but the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was defeated 20-6 by No. 1 Stony Brook University at LaValle Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Sennott scored a goal and tallied three assists, which also tied a personal best. Her other stats included three ground balls, one draw control and one caused turnover. Krissy Schafer (Longmeadow, Mass.) was the other Wildcat who recorded multiple points with two goals.

UNH starting goalie Kate Clancy (Barrington, R.I.) stopped 2 of 10 shots on goal in 13:48 and exited the game with UNH trailing 8-1. Amanda Gottlieb (Canton, Conn.) played a career-high 46 minutes, 12 seconds and matched her career highs in both saves (five) and ground balls (five); she yielded 12 goals.

Stony Brook was led offensively by Kylie Ohlmiller (three goals, seven assists), Courtney Murphy (6g, 1a) and Taryn Ohlmiller (4g, 1a). Starting goalkeeper Anna Tesoriero made four saves and allowed four goals in 50:36. Jessica Goralski went the rest of the way and also had a .500 save percentage with two saves and two goals against.

UNH moves to 6-8 overall and 4-1 in America East. Stony Brook remained unbeaten overall and atop the conference standings at 14-0, 5-0.

Trailing 8-5 with seven minutes remaining, UNH rallied to tie the score with 53 seconds to play. The Great Danes regained the lead on a free-position goal with 18 seconds on the clock. The 'Cats won the ensuing draw control but their shot in the waning seconds was stopped by goalie Erin Leghart.
New Hampshire's eight goals last year marked the Wildcats' most goals vs. the Great Danes since 2012; Albany also prevailed 9-8 that year.
UNH's most recent win was in a 2009 America East semifinal (17-9). The Wildcats' most recent home win in this series was April 2008 (17-7).
These teams have met annually since the Great Danes joined America East in 2001.

Regular Season Ends With Road Trip to Binghamton

UNH has won all 16 matchups against Binghamton University.
Last April, the Wildcats recorded an 11-6 victory on Senior Day at Wildcat Stadium. • Recap • Box
In that game, UNH trailed 3-2 at 10:57 of the first half before rattling off four consecutive goals to take a 6-3 lead at 21:12 of the second half. The Bearcats trimmed the deficit to two goals twice, but could get no closer.
The last three meetings at the Bearcats Sports Complex have been decided by a total of four goals.
The last time these teams met in Vestal (N.Y.), UNH prevailed 9-8 in overtime. The Wildcats trailed 7-4 midway through the second half, but rallied to tie the game on goals with 1:30 and :06 remaining. Carly Wooters, who netted the goal at 1:30, scored 62 seconds into OT for the win. • Recap • Box
In 2013, New Hampshire erased an 11-7 deficit to take a 12-11 lead with 1:14 to play. Binghamton tied the score 17 seconds later and won the ensuing draw control. The Bearcats were denied on a save by UNH goalie Taylor Hurwitz, then UNH's Jenny Simpson scored with one second on the clock to give the Wildcats a 13-12 victory.
And back in 2011 at Bearcats Sports Complex, UNH trailed 10-5 midway through the second half but closed the game on a 7-0 run to prevail 12-10.
These teams have met annually since the Bearcats joined America East in 2002.

Developing the Playoff Picture
The field for the 2018 America East Championship is set with Stony Brook, UAlbany, New Hampshire and Binghamton earning the four berths prior to this weekend's regular-season finales.
The winner of Saturday's UNH at Binghamton game will be the No. 3 seed.
The winner of Saturday's SBU at UAlbany game will be the No. 1 seed and tourney host.
The semifinals will be played May 4; winners advance to the May 6 title game.

ESPN+
Saturday's regular-season finale at Binghamton will be videostreamed online on ESPN+, which is subscription service.

Countdown to 100
Carly Wooters has 98 career points (81g, 17a). Wooters ranks second among active 'Cats in goals and points, and third in assists.
National Numbers
New Hampshire enters the week ranked No. 12 in the nation in ground balls per game (21.33).
UNH has also committed the second fewest fouls per game (11.60).

Wooters Records 100th Career Point in 13-7 Loss at Binghamton

VESTAL, N.Y. – Carly Wooters (White Plains, N.Y.) recorded three points, including the 100th of her career, but the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was defeated 13-7 by Binghamton University in Saturday afternoon's regular-season finale at Bearcats Sports Complex.

Wooters tallied a goal and two assists to increase her career totals to 82 goals and 19 assists for 101 points. Elizabeth Blanding (Pittsford, N.Y.), the beneficiary of two of those assists, scored a team-high three goals.

UNH starting goalie Kate Clancy (Barrington, R.I.) made a season-high 13 saves, including 10 in the first half to keep the Wildcats within 4-3 through 30 minutes. Clancy yielded 10 goals in 45 minutes, 18 seconds. Amanda Gottlieb (Canton, Conn.), who entered the game when the Wildcats closed within 10-6 at 14:42 of the second half, stopped 1 of 4 shots on goal the rest of the way.

Binghamton was led offensively by Briane Arthur (five goals), Riffany Ryan (two goals, two assists), Jacqueline Kennedy (2g, 1a) and Rebecca Golderman (1g, 2a). E Jehle was credited with 11 saves.

UNH ends the regular season at 6-10 overall and 4-3 in America East. Binghamton improved to 8-8, 5-2.

UP NEXT
New Hampshire is the No. 4 seed in the upcoming America East Championships and will play #1 ranked and top-seeded Stony Brook University in a May 4 semifinal at LaValle Stadium.
